Getting your quantity right
A few habits that keep you from making a second trip.
Measure in sections
Odd-shaped yards are easier to estimate as a few rectangles and circles. Add the cubic yards together.
Pick a realistic depth
Decorative rock usually goes down 2–3". Base course under pavers commonly runs 4" or more depending on use.
Add a little margin
Order roughly 5–10% extra for settling, uneven grade, and touch-ups so you don't stop mid-install.
